Alicia Reed, PMHNP-BC
Expertly navigating the complexities of adolescent and young adult mental health medication management.
Alicia Reed grew up in Minnesota and moved to Baltimore, MD to attend the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, where she earned her BS in Nursing. She then attended the University of Maryland School of Nursing for her MS degree specializing in psychiatric mental health. She is a board-certified nurse practitioner in family psychiatry.
Alicia worked at University of Maryland Medical Center in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as a registered nurse for one year prior to beginning her work in psychiatry. In 2009, she transitioned to Franklin Square Medical Center’s in-patient child and adolescent psychiatric unit. In this role, Alicia specialized in caring for adolescents with ADHD, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders. With the goal of teaching adolescents different coping skills, Alicia led group therapy sessions. Additionally, Alicia has worked at Johns Hopkins Hospital on an inpatient psychiatric unit focused on pain and geriatric patients.

She believes that by addressing the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of mental health, patients can achieve optimal outcomes and unlock their potential.
